This new year of 2019 presents itself with changes for autonomos. Find out here some of the most relevant.
Starting January the 1st, the minimum contribution for Autonomos has gone up to 283€ per month. This is 64€ increase per year respecting 2018.
This is the result of the agreement reached between the central government and the main associations of autonomos.
The contribution base for 2019 has risen 1.25% up to 944€. This is the reference value taken to calculate pensions and off-sick payments.
Additionally the contribution has gone up to 30% , instead of 28%. This makes up to, 30% of 944€, 283€ as the minimum Autonomo fee.
The percentage of contribution includes the following coverages.
28.30% for common contingencies.
0.9% for professional contingencies.
0,7% for cease of activity.
0.1% for Training
The reduced autonomo fee for new entrepreneurs, “tarifa plana” or flat rate, has gone up to 60€ per month.
In exchange for the raise of the contribution, this year all the Autonomos will benefit of better coverages.
Cease of Activity. The access to this benefit is improved and made more flexible.
All autonomo will receive the payment for professional illness or work accidents from day one.
Autonomo will not pay for social security after the second month of inactivity due to sickness until the moment he resumes his business.
Self-employed women will have a reduced social security ( flat payment of 60€ per month) after resuming their activity after maternity leave.
During this new year it has increase the effort to chase the fake autonomos. A new type of fine has been created for employers of fake autonomos.
The penalty goes from a minimum of 3,126€ up to 10,000€ for those who employ this type of autonomos.
Maternity and Paternity Payments.
It has started a transaction period in order to equate the number of weeks off work for paternity to those for mothers.
It will increase from the current 5 weeks to 8 in 2019. It will reach 16 weeks in 2021.
New Tax Formality.
Starting in January 2019, intermediaries between owner and tenant in a holiday rental have a new formal obligation with Hacienda: submitting “modelo 179”.
This new report will not apply to owners of holiday lettings but to agents who act as intermediaries.
Transactions with the UK.
The transactions with the UK will cease to be intra-communitarian. Customs formalities will apply as from March,30th.
