The Government will serve as guarantor for loans available to autonomos and companies for a total amount of 200.000 million euros.
Who are candidates to receive this?
Exporting businesses and those in the tourist sector will have an additional fund of 2.000 million euros via low interest loans ( ICO)
Companies with lack of liquidity, even if they do not meet requirements to receive bank loans.
The first lot of 200 million has been released to the banks. (Announced 24/03/2020)
Tax payment is being postponed.
Any tax payment, including retentions, can be postponed for 6 months (3 of which, without interests)
Deadlines for Tax Payments already postponed are rescheduled to 20/05
Any request of information ( requerimiento ) in progress will change its deadline to 30/04.
The law also eases the requisite for autonomos who apply for cease of activity (unemployment) and receive benefits.
Who are specially considered?
Autonomos forced by law to suspend their activity.
Autonomo who have had a drop of 75%+ in their earnings.
The law contemplates temporary layoffs ( ERTEs). This needs to be applied for by the employer.
Employees who are sent home are give unemployment benefits even if they have not contributed enough time for this benefit. Additionally, the time that they may be out of work will not be computed out of their overall time of benefit.
Employees who lose their jobs and self-employed workers who sustain dramatic incomes losses (75%+) can apply for a postponement in the payment of mortgages on primary residences.
