On March, 29th 2019 Brexit will be effective. If finally an agreement is not reached that includes a transition period, on the 30th of March UK will leave the EU market. 

Brexit and Customs.

Brexit will imply among other things that the flow of goods between Spain and the UK will cease to be considered intra-communitarian transactions. From that moment they will have to undergo customs formalities.

 These include declaring the goods, customs checkups, payments of taxes and other fees,  in order to have access to the goods being received.

For this reason, BREXIT can have a significant impact in your organization or logistic and consequently it is imperative to try to anticipate these handicaps and prepare for them.

One other necessary element is the EORI number, a necessary registration to import goods into the EU.

It is equally important to determine if the type of goods to be imported require of additional license or certificate issued by competent authorities , such as sanitary, phytosanitary license, quality control certificates, etc..

Brexit and VAT.

When you send goods to UK. 

There is no VAT involved in exportations. 

When you receive goods from UK

Importations from UK is subjected to the payment of VAT at the customs.
