This is the tax form by which autonomos declare quarterly results and pay corresponding income tax.
What is it for?
Using Modelo 130, the autonomo informs the tax office of the total incomes and deductible expenses of the business. If this is positive a tax payment is due.
This amount, if applicable, is only a “payment in advance” against your real tax liability that will be calculated sometime after the end of the tax year. Then, your business tax liability will be put together with other incomes and allowances that you may have, resulting in your final tax bill at the time of the RENTA.
Deadline: by the 20th of April, July, October and 30th of January.
Payment: 20% of the result.
If the sole trader has included retentions in his invoices, the total of these will reduce the amount to pay via modelo 130.
When are you obliged:
Most autonomo’s need to submit this form, except for professions that include retentions in every invoice, or have adhered to a different tax calculation system designed for specific sectors.
Notice: This is not a final payment but a forward payment against the final tax liability calculated later on.
